Bouquet-like uranium-containing selenotungstate consisting of two different Keggin-/Anderson-type units with excellent photoluminescence quantum yield

Summary: We synthesized and characterized a uranium-containing selenotungstate compound with remarkable photoluminescence properties. The compound was obtained by a one-pot reaction of uranium nitrate, sodium tungstate, and sodium selenite. The introduction of lone-electron pair containing heteroatoms resulted in a unique structure comprising a three-layered heterometallic cluster encapsulated by two different anionic building block units. The compound exhibited strong photoluminescence emission and a high quantum yield.

Summary: An efficient and heterogeneous magnetic nanocatalyst Fe3O4@SiO2@GP/Picolylamine-Cu(II) was synthesized and successfully applied in Biginelli condensation for the preparation of biologically active compounds with high conversions and reusability. The catalyst system exhibited several significant advantages, including convenient and clean reaction conditions, gram-scale synthesis, usage of nontoxic solvent, improved yield, short reaction times, and high durability. Additionally, the nanocatalyst could be recycled by an external magnet for multiple runs with only a slight decrease in product yields.

Self-assembly of three Ag-polyoxovanadates frameworks for their efficient construction of C-N bond and detoxification of simulant sulfur mustard
