Challenges and opportunities for infection prevention and control in hospitals in conflict-affected settings: a qualitative study

Hattie Lowe et al.

Summary: In conflict-affected settings, barriers to infection prevention and control (IPC) in hospitals include inadequate infrastructure, resource shortages, lack of education, and high visitor numbers. Infection prevention and control during COVID-19 pandemic: realities from health care workers in a north central state in Nigeria

O. S. Ilesanmi et al.

Summary: The study found that factors contributing to increased COVID-19 infection among HCWs in Nigeria included poor knowledge of IPC measures for COVID-19, inadequate supply of PPE, poor political will and inadequate health facilities management support.
