Scorpionicidal activity of secondary metabolites from Paecilomyces sp. CMAA1686 against Tityus serrulatus

Jose Brites-Neto et al.

Summary: The fungal isolate Paecilomyces sp. CMAA1686 from a cemetery in Brazil showed promising scorpionicidal activity against Tityus serrulatus scorpions, indicating its potential as a new alternative for biological and chemical control of this species. Further studies on the secondary metabolites of Paecilomyces sp. CMAA1686 are warranted for development of effective pest control measures.
