Negligible Ion Migration in Tin-Based and Tin-Doped Perovskites

Kester O. Ighodalo et al.

Summary: This study reveals that ion migration and phase segregation are not observed in tin halide perovskites unlike lead halide perovskites. The stronger Sn-halide bond and higher ion migration activation energy in tin halide perovskites contribute to the absence of ion migration under illumination. The threshold activation energy for the absence of ion migration is determined to be around 0.65 eV.
