Growth of Bi2Se3/graphene heterostructures with the room temperature high carrier mobility

I. V. Antonova et al.

Summary: Heterostructures of Bi2Se3 topological insulators were grown on graphene at 500 degrees C, exhibiting low resistivity, high room temperature carrier mobility, and the coexistence of p-type graphene-related conductive channel and n-type Bi2Se3 conductive surface channel. Improvements in the bottom Bi2Se3/graphene interface with increased growth time led to enhanced conductivity and carrier mobility. Compared to van der Waals Bi2Se3/graphene heterostructures created by exfoliation, the grown heterostructures showed significantly lower resistivities and higher carrier mobilities.

Enhancement of photoresponse in Bi2Se3/graphene heterostructures by effective electron-hole separation through internal band bending

Jimin Chae et al.

Summary: Topological insulators (TIs) are attractive candidates for high-performance photodetectors, and their heterostructures with graphene show significantly improved photoresponse. Graphene-induced internal band bending in Bi2Se3/graphene structures enhances electron-hole separation, leading to outstanding photoresponse performance.

Enhanced plasmonic field and focusing for ring-shaped nanostructures via radial vector beam

Wei Cui et al.

Summary: A ring-shaped plasmonic nanostructure was established to achieve plasmonic field enhancement and focusing through radial vector beam incidence. Simulation results showed significant plasmonic field enhancement and focusing spot, with potential for designing ultra-strong plasmonic field and focusing devices. Double ring-shaped nanostructure further increased intensity ratio to 109 through interference enhancement of surface plasmons.
