Among various solutions, photoelectric catalytic technology based on semiconductor materials is considered ideal. A novel S-scheme heterojunction using BiOI/TiO2 nanofibrous membranes was fabricated, showing high degradation rates for tetracycline and Rhodamine B under visible light irradiation. The study provides insights into improved charge separation efficiency and charge transport of the S-scheme heterojunction.

Fabrication and characterization of double-layer asymmetric dressing through electrostatic spinning and 3D printing for skin wound repair

Summary: In this study, a bilayer asymmetric dressing was fabricated using electrostatic spinning and 3D printing methods to mimic the gradient structure of epidermis and dermis of skin. The dressing had surface properties, porosity, mechanical properties, and antibacterial properties. The outer layer simulated the epidermis with water repellency and resistance against bacterial penetration, while the inner layer had good porosity and antibacterial efficacy. The dressing met the mechanical requirements of skin and provided an effective repair strategy for clinical skin trauma.

Novel PAN/Bi2MoO6/Ti3C2 ternary composite membrane via electrospinning with enhanced photocatalytic degradation of tetracycline

Summary: A PAN/Bi2MoO6/Ti3C2 (PAN/BT) fiber membrane was prepared by electrospinning. The membrane exhibited high recovery performance and good photocatalytic activity. The best sample could effectively degrade 90.3% of tetracycline and the removal rate was still around 80% after three cycles of photocatalytic regeneration. The efficient catalytic performance of the fiber membrane was attributed to the heterojunction of Bi2MoO6/Ti3C2.

Microstructural view of anatase to rutile phase transformation examined by in-situ high-temperature X-ray powder diffraction

Summary: The phase transformation of commercial TiO2 was carefully studied using in-situ high-temperature X-ray powder diffraction. The results showed that the phase transition initiated slowly and accelerated at higher temperatures. The unit cell volume of rutile followed a third-degree polynomial distribution, while the a and b unit cell parameters followed a second-degree polynomial distribution with temperature. The formation of newly formed rutile occurred under decreased lattice strain and increased crystallite size.

Co3O4 Nanoparticles Accommodated Mesoporous TiO2 framework as an Excellent Photocatalyst with Enhanced Photocatalytic Properties

Summary: This study focuses on designing an efficient heterojunction photocatalyst using mesoporous TiO2 framework and Co3O4 NPs for the degradation of antibiotics under visible light. The synthesized 1.5% Co3O4/TiO2 nanocomposite showed the highest degradation performance for ciprofloxacin (CIP) and significantly increased the apparent rate constant, demonstrating excellent stability over five cycles. The S-scheme Co3O4/TiO2 p-n heterojunction construction enhances the generation of active oxidative species for efficient photodegradation of CIP.

Defective graphene nanosheets for drinking water purification: Adsorption mechanism, performance, and recovery
