Anatoly N. Sapozhnikov et al.

Summary: The analysis of dark blue lazurite from the Malo-Bystrinskoe lazurite deposit in Russia revealed an exceptionally high content of total sulfur. The lazurite formula was determined to include various elements and compounds, such as Na, Ca, K, Al, Si, O, SO4, S, and Cl. Lazurite is considered to be an effective sensor for trisulfur radical anions and may be used to estimate the fugacity of SO2 and O-2 in metasomatic systems.

Evaluation of silica sodalite infused polysulfone mixed matrix membranes during H2/CO2 separation

C. L. Eden et al.

Summary: Global warming and environmental degradation have driven the need to capture large point source carbon emissions and reduce the energy intensity of industrial processes. Silica sodalite-infused polysulfone membranes show promise for pre-combustion CO2 capture, with the potential to enhance hydrogen permeance. Increasing the loading of silica sodalite improves the quality and performance of the membrane, though further research is needed to enhance both hydrogen selectivity and permeance.
