Fracture load ofCAD/CAMultrathin occlusal veneers luted to enamel or dentin

Eneida Beatriz Sanfelice Valenzuela et al.

Summary: The study evaluated the fracture load of IPS e.max CAD occlusal veneers at thicknesses of 0.3 or 0.6 mm luted to enamel or dentin, finding that only the thickness factor significantly affected the results. IPS e.max ultrathin veneers luted to enamel or dentin obtained fracture load comparable to that of healthy teeth.

Load capacity of occlusal veneers of different restorative CAD/CAM materials under lateral static loading

Hadiel Zamzam et al.

Summary: This in vitro study analyzed the failure of occlusal veneers made of three different restorative CAD/CAM materials under lateral static loading. Results showed that zirconia veneers had the highest resistance to failure, mainly debonding, while the other two materials mainly failed due to veneer fracture.
