The frequency of the second mesiobuccal canal in maxillary first molars among a sample of the Kurdistan Region-Iraq population - A retrospective cone-beam computed tomography evaluation

Bestoon Mohammed Faraj

Summary: The study aimed to analyze the frequency of MB2 canal and its apical portals of exit in maxillary first molars and their possible relation with sex and age. It was found that MB2 canals were present in approximately 53.78% of cases, with a significantly higher incidence in males. In cases where MB2 canal was present, around 66.28% had a single apical foramen and 33.72% had two apical foramina.
