Achieving dynamic multicolor luminescence in ZnS:KBr,Mn2+ phosphor for anti-counterfeiting

Summary: By simultaneously constructing strong host luminescence and heterochromatic doping emissive center in ZnS lattice, a series of ZnS:KBr,x%Mn2+ (x = 0-0.25) phosphors with dynamic multicolor luminescence were obtained. The dynamic multicolor luminescence, achieved by tuning doping concentration, excitation wavelength, and observation time, shows great application potential in high-level secure anti-counterfeiting. After removal of the UV lamp, the phosphors exhibit an orange afterglow in addition to their photoluminescence color.

Summary: In this study, UCNPs@SiO2@TEuTbB nanomaterials with dual-mode luminescence were successfully fabricated for anti-counterfeiting. The synthesized materials exhibited high luminescence intensity, narrow half-peak width, and high stability. The nanomaterials also showed the ability to recognize latent fingerprints on various surfaces under UV lamp, providing valuable evidence in forensic field.

In this study, a printable, room-temperature self-healing and full-color-tunable luminescent composite was developed through noncovalent binding and physical cross-linking techniques. The composite demonstrated the ability to achieve full-color-tunable emissions under different excitation wavelengths, making it suitable for flexible panchromatic display and high-security-level anti-counterfeiting.

A straightforward approach for high-end anti-counterfeiting applications based on NIR laser-driven lanthanide doped luminescent glasses

Summary: This study demonstrates a simple and inexpensive method for color tuning of thermally and chemically stable Ho3+/Tm3+/Yb3+ doped tellurite glasses. By manipulating the emission band ratios through focusing/defocusing the NIR laser beam, impressive up-conversion quantum yield values up to 4.56% and high lifetime values of approximately 100 to 200 microseconds are obtained. By creating anti-counterfeiting patterns using this method, different emission colors can be observed easily, highlighting the potential use of lanthanide doped glasses in anti-counterfeiting applications.
