Summary: Culinary or gastronomy tourism is a rising issue, as people want to discover new flavors while traveling. Food consumption is a complex decision-making process influenced by cultural, social, psychological, and sensory factors. This study examined the antecedents of tourist food consumption and found that sensory appeal, mood, natural content, health content, and convenience have a positive and direct connection with tourist's intention to consume food. However, familiarity and price did not show statistically significant associations with food consumption intentions.
