A pH-responsive complex based on supramolecular organic framework for drug-resistant breast cancer therapy

Yun-Chang Zhang et al.

Summary: This study developed a new pH-responsive supramolecular organic framework drug delivery complex for the treatment of drug-resistant cancer. The system exhibited high stability, good biocompatibility, and pH-regulated drug release. Both in vitro and in vivo experiments demonstrated that the system enhanced the anti-tumor activity of the drug. These findings inspire further exploration of new drug delivery strategies and reversal of multidrug resistance in clinical chemotherapy.

A novel polyelectrolyte-based artificial light-harvesting system for photocatalysis of cross-dehydrogenation coupling

Chao-Qun Ma et al.

Summary: Artificial light-harvesting systems usually involve complex assembly processes using various noncovalent interactions. This study demonstrates a simpler and more effective approach of building an artificial light-harvesting system using only electrostatic interactions with polyelectrolyte materials. The system achieved high energy transfer efficiency and antenna effect, and it was successfully applied for photocatalysis with high yields. This work advances the promising application of artificial light-harvesting systems based on polyelectrolyte materials.

Self-Assembly of a Bilayer 2D Supramolecular Organic Framework in Water

Bo Yang et al.

Summary: Accurately controlling the layer number of orderly stacked 2D polymers remains a challenge in self-assembly. In this study, a bilayer 2D supramolecular organic framework was fabricated from a monolayer framework in water through cooperative coordination, showing structural regularity in both solution and solid state, with the bilayer character selectively realized on the micrometer scale.

Adaptive Chirality of an Achiral Cucurbit[8]uril-Based Supramolecular Organic Framework for Chirality Induction in Water

Yawen Li et al.

Summary: Achiral supramolecular organic framework (SOF-1) can exhibit adaptive chirality induced by specific compounds in water, leading to mirror-image circular dichroism and circularly polarized luminescence. This adaptive chirality can be utilized for determining the enantiopurity of amino acids and distinguishing biological chiral macromolecules.
