Summary: This study presents a computer-aided search method using differential evolutionary algorithms and local searches to solve a minimization problem in the context of flux-stabilizable moduli of smooth K3 x K3 compactification. The results support the Tadpole Conjecture and introduce an efficient Spider Algorithm for exploring minimal-tadpole configurations.

Summary: D7-brane moduli are stabilized by worldvolume fluxes, contributing to the D3-brane tadpole. In F-theory Type IIB compactifications, a no-go theorem is proved for certain landscape of configurations. As the genus of the curve dual to the D7 worldvolume fluxes increases, the induced D3 charge's lower bound decreases, but high-genus high-degree curve flux configurations cannot be ruled out completely. Most of these fluxes are likely to have very high curvature above the string scale, except on unrealistically large compactification manifolds.

Summary: This paper explores certain swampland criteria from the perspective of the finiteness of black hole entropy and suggests that these criteria may fundamentally result from the finiteness of quantum gravity amplitudes.

Summary: The study provides evidence for the correctness of the tadpole conjecture by analyzing statistical data, which indicates that not all complex-structure moduli can be stabilized by fluxes in string-theory compactifications with a large number of moduli.

Summary: The study focuses on the non-perturbative superpotential generated by D(-1)-branes on Calabi-Yau threefold hypersurfaces in type IIB compactifications on orientifolds. By computing the Picard-Fuchs equations in the global Sen-limit, it is shown that the elliptic Calabi-Yau fourfolds do not contain exponentially suppressed terms. This implies that the superpotential of the underlying type IIB compactification in the global Sen-limit does not receive D(-1)-instanton contributions.

Summary: We propose a new strategy for studying complex-structure moduli stabilization in Type IIB and F-theory flux compactifications. By utilizing the tools of asymptotic Hodge theory, we determine vacua in any asymptotic regime of the complex-structure moduli space. In a leading approximation, we find that the moduli dependence of the vacuum conditions follows a polynomial behavior with a dependence given by sl(2)-weights of the fluxes. We provide a pedagogical introduction to the sl(2)-approximation and a step-by-step procedure for constructing the corresponding Hodge star operator. Our analysis of Calabi-Yau examples demonstrates the accuracy of the sl(2)-approximation and allows us to determine the behavior of the fluxes' tadpole contribution. Furthermore, we discuss the structure of vacuum loci and their relationship to swampland conjectures, specifically the realization of the linear scenario in view of the tadpole conjecture.

Summary: This article revisits flux compactifications of type IIB string theory on rigid Calabi-Yau manifolds. This relatively unexplored part of the string landscape contains many interesting four-dimensional solutions, and discusses how these solutions fit into the swampland conjectures.

Summary: The Swampland program aims to determine the constraints that must be satisfied by an effective field theory to be consistent with a UV embedding in a quantum gravity theory. This article provides a pedagogical introduction to the most important Swampland conjectures, their connections, and their realization in string theory compactifications.

Summary: The tadpole conjecture suggests that the complete stabilization of complex structure deformations in Type IIB and F-theory flux compactifications is severely obstructed by the tadpole bound on the fluxes. We provide the first conceptual argument using asymptotic Hodge theory to explain the linear scaling setting and clarify why it sets in only for a large number of stabilized moduli.

Summary: We introduce a generalized notion of finiteness and propose a Tameness Conjecture for effective theories coupled to quantum gravity. We provide evidence for this conjecture by studying various effective theories arising from string theory compactifications using recent advances in tame geometry. The finiteness of self-dual flux vacua in F-theory is discussed as the strongest evidence for the Tameness Conjecture.

Summary: This study investigates the vacuum structure of a four-dimensional effective theory, revealing a strong correlation between unstable de Sitter vacua and stable de Sitter vacua. The presence of flux-induced D3-brane charge restricts the existence of stable de Sitter vacua, supporting the dS conjecture. Additionally, numerical results demonstrate that parameters in several swampland conjectures peak at specific values.

Summary: In this study, we compute the flux-induced F-term potential in 4d F-theory compactifications at large complex structure. We identify two families of vacua where complex structure fields are fixed and flux contributions are bounded. Our analysis provides explicit general expressions for the potential and explores the set of flux vacua for an arbitrary number of fields, linking our findings to previous results in the literature.

Summary: The study constructs G(4) fluxes to stabilize the 426 complex structure moduli of the sextic Calabi-Yau fourfold at the Fermat point, addressing the challenge of stabilization in models with many moduli. By using algebraic cycles, the researchers demonstrate how such fluxes can be constructed and analyze flat directions. It is observed that while symmetric fluxes can automatically solve multiple F-term equations, they often lead to flat directions.
