DiCyc: GAN-based deformation invariant cross-domain information fusion for medical image synthesis

Chengjia Wang et al.

Summary: This paper presents a deformation invariant Cycle consistency model that filters out domain-specific deformations, achieving better alignment between synthesized images and source domain data. Experimental results demonstrate that this method achieves superior alignment between source and target data while maintaining high image quality compared to several state-of-the-art CycleGAN-based methods.

Contrast agent dose reduction in computed tomography with deep learning using a conditional generative adversarial network

Johannes Haubold et al.

Summary: The required amount of ICM for CT can be reduced by 50% while maintaining image quality and diagnostic accuracy using GANs. The networks achieving 50% reduction in ICM dose reached 100% consistency in the crucial question of pathological consistency. More studies are needed to confirm these initial results.

Multitask Learning for Estimating Multitype Cardiac Indices in MRI and CT Based on Adversarial Reverse Mapping

Chengjin Yu et al.

Summary: This article introduces a multitask learning method with reverse inferring for estimating multitype cardiac indices in MRI and CT images. By building a reverse mapping network different from existing forward inferring methods, task dependencies are learned and shared to multitask learning networks using an adversarial training approach. The results of experiments conducted on the proposed adversarial reverse mapping show excellent performance in estimating multitype cardiac indices.

Scene Segmentation With Dual Relation-Aware Attention Network

Jun Fu et al.

Summary: This article introduces a Dual Relation-aware Attention Network (DRANet) for scene segmentation, which adaptively captures contextual information using a relation-aware attention mechanism. Through extensive experiments, the network achieves new state-of-the-art segmentation performance on challenging datasets such as Cityscapes, ADE20K, PASCAL Context, and COCO Stuff, with a Mean IoU score of 82.9% on the Cityscapes test set without requiring additional annotated data.

Generation of Contrast-Enhanced CT with Residual Cycle-Consistent Generative Adversarial Network (Res-CycleGAN)

Huiqiao Xie et al.

Summary: The study proposes a deep learning-based method utilizing a cycle-consistent generative adversarial network (CycleGAN) to generate CECT images from non-contrast CT scans. This approach improves anatomy definition and contouring accuracy in radiotherapy without the need for additional CECT scanning efforts.
