Routing protocols classification for underwater wireless sensor networks based on localization and mobility

A. S. Ismail et al.

Summary: This paper surveys the recent routing protocols for Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks (UWSN), presenting the main ideas, operations, merits, and demerits of each protocol. The evaluated protocols are divided into two types: location-based and location-free, each with sub-categories for considering node mobility or not. An analytical method and numerical simulation method are used to evaluate these protocols based on parameters like packet delivery ratio, end-to-end delay, and energy consumption. The goal of this survey is to encourage further research in improving UWSN routing protocols for better underwater exploration and monitoring.

A green and sensitive guanine-based DNA biosensor for idarubicin anticancer monitoring in biological samples: A simple and fast strategy for control of health quality in chemotherapy procedure confirmed by docking investigation

Hassan Karimi-Maleh et al.

Summary: Pt- and Pd-incorporated ZnO nanoparticles-decorated single-wall carbon nanotubes (Pt-Pd-ZnO/SWCNTs) nanocomposites were used to modify a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) for the detection of idarubicin. The morphology and structure of the nanocomposite were characterized using transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) with energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS). The modified electrode, ds-DNA/Pt-Pd-ZnO/SWCNTs/GCE, was fabricated using a layer-by-layer modification technique and used as a voltammetric sensor for sensitive monitoring of idarubicin. The biosensor showed good performance in detecting idarubicin with a detection limit of 0.8 nM.

Zero-Padding and Spatial Augmentation-Based Gas Sensor Node Optimization Approach in Resource-Constrained 6G-IoT Paradigm

Shiv Nath Chaudhri et al.

Summary: Ultra-low-power and lightweight artificial intelligence models are important in 6G-IoT ecosystems. The paper demonstrates high performance in a gas sensor system utilizing Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) with a reduced number of sensor elements. Redundant sensor elements are identified and removed, resulting in reduced power consumption without significant performance deviation. Specialized data pre-processing and CNN compensate for performance variation. The experiment achieves successful classification and quantification of hazardous gases with improved power efficiency.
