Insights into permeability of rejuvenator in old asphalt based on permeation theory: Permeation behaviors and micro characteristics

Ying Fang et al.

Summary: By analyzing the permeation behaviors and micro characteristics of rejuvenator in old asphalt, it was found that the permeability of rejuvenator depended on various factors. Mineral oil rejuvenator exhibited stronger permeability than bio-rejuvenator. Thinner aged asphalt layer made the rejuvenator more easily permeate. The sampling layer had the most significant influence on the permeability of rejuvenator.
