Precisely design PPh3-based polymer by hybrid coupling of monomers for high efficient hydroformylation

Guangjun Ji et al.

Summary: A series of hybrid coupling porous organic polymers were designed and synthesized through solvothermal polymerization, showing excellent potential in heterogeneous catalysis. The properties of the obtained materials can be regulated by adjusting the microenvironment and quantities, with superior recyclability and stability demonstrated in catalytic reactions.

Intermetallic Nanocatalyst for Highly Active Heterogeneous Hydroformylation

Minda Chen et al.

Summary: RhZn intermetallic nanoparticles have been developed as an exceptional catalyst for efficient heterogeneous hydroformylation, showing high activity and selectivity compared to traditional homogeneous catalysts. Density functional theory calculations reveal that RhZn surfaces reduce the binding strength of reaction intermediates and have lower activation energy barriers, leading to more favorable reaction energetics. Additionally, potential catalyst design strategies for achieving high regioselectivity have been predicted.

Thermally Stable Single-Atom Heterogeneous Catalysts

Haifeng Xiong et al.

Summary: This article discusses recent advances in the development of thermally durable single-atom heterogeneous catalysts, describes several important preparation approaches for thermally stable SACs, and discusses the fundamental understanding of the coordination structures of thermally stable single atom prepared by these methods. The catalytic performances of these thermally stable SACs, including their activity and stability, are reviewed. Finally, a perspective of this important and rapidly evolving research field is provided.

Direct conversion of methane to oxygenates on porous organic polymers supported Rh mononuclear complex catalyst under mild conditions

Bin Li et al.

Summary: The research introduces a direct catalytic conversion process of CH4 to oxygenated products using a catalyst in a water solution at high temperature, with iodine species promoting the production of oxygenated products, especially acetic acid. The space time yield of total oxygenated products on the catalyst reached as high as 289.3 g/(kg(cat).h) and maintained stability after five recycling.
