Far-field lithography through saturated resonance energy transfer

Nikolaos Liaros

Summary: A method based on resonance energy transfer is proposed for writing three-dimensional features in the far field. The saturation of energy transfer induces a nonlinear intensity response, enabling three-dimensional nanofabrication without ultrafast excitation. Addition of a second, spatially shaped beam allows nanopatterning below the diffraction limit.

Synthesis and properties of porous materials from polymeric acrylated epoxidized soybean oil via an emulsion template

Xujuan Huang et al.

Summary: RP-AESO porous materials prepared by emulsion template have uniform pore size distribution, hydrophobic properties, and oil absorption capacity. With increasing concentration of H-ESO-HEC, the pore density of RP-AESO porous materials increases and the average pore size decreases, leading to a decrease in compressive strength. Furthermore, these porous materials exhibit good reusability.

Synthesis and characterization of interpenetrating polymer networks (IPNs) based on UV curable resin and blocked isocyanate/polyols

Jie Liu et al.

Summary: This study successfully synthesized a series of interpenetrating polymer networks (IPNs) using a sequential UV-thermal dual-curing method. The effect of different polyol hydroxyl numbers on the properties of IPNs was systematically studied. The results showed that pentaerythritol as polyol exhibited the highest tensile strength. Moreover, introducing interpenetrating or semi-interpenetrating networks improved the mechanical properties of the UV curable resin.

Dual-cured thermosets from glycydil methacrylate obtained by epoxy-amine reaction and methacrylate homopolymerization

Adria Roig et al.

Summary: Dual-curing is a processing technology that combines two polymerization processes and proper formulation selection to prepare intermediate materials with tailored characteristics, leading to a high crosslinked network during the second stage. In this study, a commercial monomer, glycidyl methacrylate, and diglycidylether of bisphenol A were used to obtain a gelled intermediate material. The evolution of curing steps was studied by DSC and FTIR, while the stability and characteristics of the materials were evaluated by TGA and DMTA.
