Corrosion behavior of TiZrHfBeCu(Ni) high-entropy bulk metallic glasses in 3.5 wt. % NaCl

Summary: The corrosion behavior of TiZrHfBeCu(Ni) high-entropy bulk metallic glasses (HE-BMGs) has been investigated. The HE-BMGs exhibited high corrosion resistance in 3.5 wt. % NaCl solution due to the accumulation of ZrO2 and TiO2 in the passive film. The addition of Ni increased the contents of ZrO2, TiO2, and HfO2, while decreasing the content of BeO, thereby improving the corrosion behavior of the HE-BMGs. Compared to Zr41.2Ti13.8Ni10Cu12.5Be22.5 BMG, the high-entropy effect of the HE-BMGs can significantly reduce atomic mobility, inhibit outward migration of Cu, decrease the kinetics of the dissolution reaction, and inhibit inward erosion by Cl-, leading to improved corrosion performance.

Grid-type sensors using resistance change ratio for micro-crack detection

Steady-State Conduction Current Performance for Multilayer Polyimide/SiO2 Films

Summary: The study observed steady-state electrical conduction current for single and multilayer polyimide (PI) nanocomposite films at different temperatures, finding that the dominant conduction mechanisms were space charge limited current (SCLC) and Poole-Frenkel current. At high electric fields, ohmic conduction was replaced by current-voltage dependency. Nanocomposite films exhibited higher conduction current at lower temperatures, but it declined at higher temperatures.
