High-performance fluoroelastomer-graphene nanocomposites for advanced sealing applications

Mufeng Liu et al.

Summary: In this study, graphene nanoplatelets (GNPs) were incorporated into a fluoroelastomer (FKM) matrix to enhance its mechanical and barrier properties for sealing applications. The GNPs were able to significantly improve the tensile and barrier properties of the FKM, showing promising potential for advanced sealing applications. The nanocomposites filled with GNPs exhibited superior performance at relatively low filler loadings.

Study on mechanical and tribological properties of ternary fluororubber filled with four needles of zinc oxide

Mengyao Ning et al.

Summary: This study investigates the influence of four-needle zinc oxide on the mechanical and frictional properties of ternary fluororubber. The needle-like 3D structure of T-ZnOw effectively decomposes point stress in the tensile process, improving fracture base point and mechanical properties. The unique structure reduces fatigue wear and decreases friction coefficient and wear rate, especially at high temperatures.
