Experience and Perceptions of Changes in the Living Environment by Older People Losing Their Autonomy: A Qualitative Study in the Caribbean

Summary: This study explored the experiences and perceptions of older individuals in Martinique who had to modify their living environment due to a decline in autonomy. The findings suggest that aging was a significant factor leading to changes in living environments, and participants generally viewed these changes as both inevitable and relieving. Family and social relationships were important determinants of participants' perceptions of changes in living environment, more so than health status.

Psychometric properties of the WHOQOL-BREF(PT) in a sample of elderly citizens

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the psychometric properties of a quality of life assessment tool for elderly residents, proposing a comprehensive quality of life scoring and examining the effectiveness of different scoring strategies.
