Gender differences in the impact on physical activity and lifestyle in Italy during the lockdown, due to the COVID-19 pandemic

Summary: This study in Italy aimed to assess the gender differences in the impact of lockdown on physical activity and lifestyle habits. The findings showed that women had lower physical activity levels before lockdown, but were less likely to reduce it during lockdown compared to men. Women also experienced worsening sleep and stool passage, while men increased their alcohol consumption.
