Electrochemical Method for Ease Determination of Sodium Diclofenac Trace Levels in Water Using Graphene-Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotubes Paste Electrode

Sorina Motoc et al.

Summary: In this study, a simple method using a combination of graphene and multi-walled carbon nanotubes as a paste electrode was proposed for electrochemical detection of sodium diclofenac (DCF). The integration of graphene with multi-walled carbon nanotubes increased the electroactive surface area of the electrode, enhancing the electrochemical response for DCF detection. Preconcentration prior to differential-pulsed voltammetry (DPV) and multiple-pulsed amperometry (MPA) was found to enhance the electroanalytical performance of DCF detection, which was validated in tap water. The lowest limit of detection (LOD) of 1.40 ng·L-1 was achieved using this method, surpassing that of other carbon-based electrodes reported in the literature.
