Effects of personalized diets by prediction of glycemic responses on glycemic control and metabolic health in newly diagnosed T2DM: a randomized dietary intervention pilot trial

Michal Rein et al.

Summary: The study showed that a personalized postprandial-targeting (PPT) diet had significant effects on glycemic control and metabolic health in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes patients, demonstrating better outcomes compared to the commonly recommended Mediterranean-style diet. Long-term PPT intervention led to improvements in multiple metabolic health parameters, supporting the clinical efficacy of this approach.

Mediterranean Diet Affects Blood Circulating Lipid-Soluble Micronutrients and Inflammatory Biomarkers in a Cohort of Breast Cancer Survivors: Results from the SETA Study

Mara Negrati et al.

Summary: This study revealed a positive association between adherence to the Mediterranean Diet and certain circulating biomarkers, suggesting a potential preventive effect on breast cancer. However, there was no significant correlation found between the diet and inflammatory or cardiometabolic markers.

Evidence-based approaches for the management of side-effects of adjuvant endocrine therapy in patients with breast cancer

Maria Alice Franzoi et al.

Summary: The availability of more effective therapies has led to increased survival rates in breast cancer patients. However, the side-effects of these treatments can impact treatment adherence and patients' quality of life. The goal of cancer care in the 21st century is to mitigate these side-effects and improve patients' quality of life and emotional well-being.

Personalized Postprandial Glucose Response-Targeting Diet Versus Mediterranean Diet for Glycemic Control in Prediabetes

Orly Ben-Yacov et al.

Summary: In this clinical trial comparing PPT diet and MED diet in prediabetes patients, the PPT diet was found to significantly improve glycemic control by reducing the daily time with glucose levels >140 mg/dL (7.8 mmol/L) and HbA(1c) levels compared to the MED diet. These results could have implications for dietary advice in clinical practice.
