Exploring Family Caregiver Communication Difficulties and Caregiver Quality of Life and Anxiety

Elaine Wittenberg et al.

Summary: When family caregivers face communication difficulties with healthcare providers, it can lead to increased anxiety and decreased quality of life. Adequate question-asking health literacy is linked to lower anxiety and higher quality of life, while caregivers who avoid discussing caregiving topics are more likely to experience higher anxiety and lower quality of life. This highlights the importance of addressing caregiver communication challenges to improve their well-being.

Kaitlyn M. Buhlinger et al.

Summary: In Ethiopia, cancer accounts for 5.8% of total national mortality, with an estimated annual incidence of 60,960 cases and over 44,000 deaths. This underestimation highlights the need for an enhanced national pediatric cancer registry, as recommended by the WHO. The pharmacist-led pre-implementation assessment identified gaps in current documentation workflow and the need for a more comprehensive data collection system.
