Clinical and radiographic performance of indirect foraminal decompression with anterior retroperitoneal lumbar approach for interbody fusion (ALIF)

Fabio Cofano et al.

Summary: This study evaluated the clinical and mechanical performance of indirect decompression with ALIF in L5-S1 foraminal stenosis. The results showed that ALIF significantly increased foraminal height and posterior disc height, improved radicular pain, and these increases were directly associated with pain improvement.
