Optimizing Tissue Culture Protocol for In Vitro Shoot and Root Development and Acclimatization of Date Palm (Phoenix dactylifera L.) Plantlets

Najamuddin Solangi et al.

Summary: This study aims to optimize the in vitro elongation, rooting, and acclimatization of two elite date palm cultivars from Pakistan. By adjusting the nutrient composition of the germination medium and adding activated charcoal, successful plantlet formation and acclimatization were achieved. The best soil medium for acclimatization was a mixture of peat moss and river sand.

Cryopreservation of pineapple shoot tips does not affect mineral contents of regenerated plants

Ariel Villalobos-Olivera et al.

Summary: Conservation of pineapple germplasm is crucial for breeding programs, with cryopreservation considered the best long-term storage option. Research shows that cryopreservation does not significantly affect plant growth and mineral content.
