Summary: By analyzing different germplasms of Lonicerae japonicae Flos from the same origin collected during various growth periods, it was found that the phenolic acid content and composition varied significantly. The study identified key components such as ferulic acid, 5-O-caffeoylquinic acid, and caffeic acid for distinguishing between different growth periods and germplasms, with Hua Jin No. 6 demonstrating the highest quality based on the total amount of phenolic acids and chlorogenic acids. Additionally, chlorogenic acid methyl ester and caffeic acid were identified as the smallest markers in combination for distinguishing between the five germplasms of Lonicerae japonicae Flos.
