MHD Darcy-Forchheimer Cu-Ag/H2O-C2H6O2 hybrid nanofluid flow via a porous stretching sheet with suction/blowing and viscous dissipation

Navneet Joshi et al.

Summary: This article explores the combined impact of thermal radiation and suction/blowing on the MHD flow of Cu-Ag/H2O-C2H6O2 hybrid nanofluid through a stretchable surface in Darcy-Forchheimer porous medium. The study finds that velocity decreases with suction, while the absence of suction/injection region is observed. Moreover, in the blowing region, a dual behavior in velocity profiles is noticed with an increase in Forchhiemer and porosity parameters.

P. K. Mandal et al.

Summary: The unsteady MHD rotating flow of carbon nanotube water nanofluid past a stretching surface is analyzed in this study, taking into account thermal radiation mechanism and heat source/sink. The mathematical model consists of a system of non-linear coupled PDEs. The numerical solution is obtained and analyzed, and the influence of dominant flow parameters on temperature profiles and flow field are discussed using tables and graphs. Important results are obtained, including the effects of unsteadiness, fluid rotation, and nanoparticle volume fraction on the velocity and temperature of the fluid.

Effect of natural convection on 3D MHD flow of MoS2-GO/H2O via porous surface due to multiple slip mechanisms

Alok Kumar Pandey et al.

Summary: The magnetized flow behaviour of a hybrid nanofluid containing molybdenum disulphide (MoS2) and graphene oxide (GO) nanoparticles, subject to multiple slip mechanisms, natural convection and chemical reaction, is examined in this study. The hybrid nanofluid is prepared by combining MoS2, GO, and a conventional fluid (H2O). The equations of the model are solved using shooting and bvp4c techniques, and are validated against previous research. The study shows that an increase in thermal slip parameter values leads to a depreciation in the thermal field profiles of MoS2-GO/H2O. Additionally, an increase in velocity slip parameter results in an increase in temperature and concentration functions, while the velocity outlines of the MoS2-GO/H2O fluid decrease. Furthermore, an increase in natural convection parameter values leads to an augmentation in the velocity functions and a decline in the concentration function of MoS2-GO/H2O.

Summary: This study investigates the entropy generation of hybrid nanofluids flow on a porous stretching surface under the influence of thermal radiation, viscous dissipation, and convective boundary conditions. The investigation reveals the patterns of velocities/temperature, Nusselt and Bejan numbers, and entropy generation in relation to various parameters, using the Xue model of thermal conductivity for nanofluids. The comparison of different hybrid nanofluids with thermal profiles shows that the CNT-engine oil hybrid nanofluid exhibits more significant behavior near the surface compared to other hybrid nanofluids.
