Munirah A. Almessiere et al.

Summary: In this study, nanospinel ferrites (NSFs) containing different plant extracts were synthesized using a sol-gel approach. The impact of plant extracts on the structural, morphological, and magnetic features of the final products was discussed. The results showed that the synthesis method, plant extract solution, distribution of cations, morphology, and size of NSFs significantly influenced the magnetic properties. The NSFs synthesized using cardamom and moringa plant extracts exhibited superparamagnetic behavior at room temperature. Furthermore, the NSFs containing cardamom and moringa extracts demonstrated anti-cancer activity against colorectal carcinoma cells and cervical cancer cells, as well as antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus aureus.
