Efficacy of Helicobacter pylori eradication therapy for functional dyspepsia: updated systematic review and meta-analysis

Alexander C. Ford et al.

Summary: The study suggests that H. pylori eradication therapy can lead to both cure and improvement of symptoms in patients with functional dyspepsia, although the benefit is modest. Successful eradication of H. pylori is associated with a greater effect, but also with more adverse events.

Eradication of Helicobacter pylori infection decreases risk for dyslipidemia: A cohort study

Yewan Park et al.

Summary: This study found that individuals with persistent Helicobacter pylori infection had a higher incidence rate of dyslipidemia compared to those whose infections had been successfully controlled. Helicobacter pylori eradication was associated with a lower risk of dyslipidemia, suggesting a potential pathophysiologic role of H. pylori in dyslipidemia development.

Prevalence of Barrett's Epithelium Shown by Endoscopic Observations with Linked Color Imaging in Subjects with Different H. pylori Infection Statuses

Kyoichi Adachi et al.

Summary: The study aimed to determine the prevalence of short segment Barrett's esophagus (SSBE) using endoscopic observations with linked color imaging (LCI) and investigate the relationship between the presence of Barrett's epithelium (BE) and H. pylori infection. Results showed a high prevalence of SSBE with LCI, while negativity for H. pylori infection and mild gastric mucosal atrophy were not correlated with SSBE prevalence.
