Investigation of second phase concentration effects on tribological and electrical properties of Cu-WS2 composites

Marco Freschi et al.

Summary: A set of self-lubricating copper-tungsten disulfide composites were prepared to analyze the effects of solid lubricant concentration on their tribological, electrical and wettability properties. The experimental results showed that a second phase content in the 10-15 wt% range could guarantee a better combination of the desired features.

Study on current-carrying friction and wear properties of copper-graphite brush material reinforced by organosilicon

Xueyang Lin et al.

Summary: The brush materials modified with organosilicon prepared by the powder metallurgy method showed advantages in friction and wear properties. Organosilicon can reduce the wear rate and control the graphite content on the friction surface, but may increase adhesive wear of the materials.

Effect of copper contents on the current-carrying wear properties of carbon brush under different temperatures conditions

Xinlong Liu et al.

Summary: This study investigates the influence of temperature and copper content on the friction performance of carbon brushes, with results showing that copper content has a critical effect on friction performance, leading to a dramatic increase in wear rate for the high copper content group at high temperatures.
