Influence of Electric Current on the Wear Topography of Electrical Contact Surfaces

Xue Zuo et al.

Summary: This study investigates the influence of electric current on the wear behavior of a friction pair using a ball-on-disc tribometer, and comprehensively characterizes the wear topography through characteristic parameters. The results indicate that electric current aggravates wear, leading to increased singularity and complexity of the surface.
