A Multi-Scale Attributes Attention Model for Transport Mode Identification

Guiyuan Jiang et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a deep learning framework for transport mode identification using GPS data only. It achieves higher accuracy by extracting discriminating trajectory features through multi-scale attributes and convolutional neural networks. Additionally, a neural decision forest model is used to fuse different types of features. The proposed approach demonstrates competitive performance compared to existing baselines.

GPS data-based mobility mode inference model using long-term recurrent convolutional networks

Jinsoo Kim et al.

Summary: The purpose of this study is to develop a mobility mode inference model that takes into account the sequential behaviors of choosing a mobility mode. By using long-term recurrent convolutional networks (LRCNs), the model considers the sequential behaviors in choosing the mobility mode over time. The results show that considering sequential behaviors enhances the model's performance in inferring the mobility mode, and the LRCN approach outperforms previous methods.

Semi-Supervised Federated Learning for Travel Mode Identification From GPS Trajectories

Yuanshao Zhu et al.

Summary: The paper introduces a novel Semi-supervised Federated Learning framework for accurately identifying travel modes, utilizing a convolutional neural network-gated recurrent unit model and a pseudo-labeling method. The proposed framework also includes grouping-based aggregation and data flipping augmentation schemes to enhance performance. Evaluation on a real-world dataset demonstrates that the SSFL outperforms centralized semi-supervised baselines and is robust to non-independent and identically distributed data commonly seen in practice.

STPC-Net: Learn Massive Geo-Sensory Data as Spatio-Temporal Point Clouds

Chuanpan Zheng et al.

Summary: This paper introduces a novel deep neural network called STPC-Net for processing massive geo-sensory data represented as spatio-temporal point clouds (STPC). STPC-Net captures intra-sensor and inter-sensor correlations from STPC, enabling it to learn key information and overcome challenges posed by data irregularity. Experiments show that STPC-Net achieves state-of-the-art performance in various tasks on both mobile and stationary geo-sensory data.
