Catalytically active phospholipase A2 myotoxin from Crotalus durissus terrificus induces proliferation and differentiation of myoblasts dependent on prostaglandins produced by both COX-1 and COX-2 pathways

Summary: This study demonstrates that CB can promote myoblast proliferation by stimulating the production of PGs through COX-1 and COX-2 pathways, as well as activating myogenic regulatory factors. Furthermore, CB has differential effects on the activity of various myogenic regulatory factors in proliferated and committed cells.
