Fabrication and transport properties of two dimensional Bi2Sr2Ca2Cu3O10+δ micro-bridge

A. B. Yu et al.

Summary: The fabrication of ultra-thin micro-bridges from mechanically exfoliated Bi2223 single crystals and their transport properties were systematically investigated in this study. The existence of two-dimensional superconductivity was confirmed through the observation of the Berezinskii-Kosterlitz-Thouless transition using current-voltage properties and resistance-temperature dependence. Compared to bulk crystals, the Bi2223 micro-bridge exhibited a slightly lower upper critical field but a pronounced improvement in critical current density.

A Comparative Study of Superconductivity and Thermally Activated Flux Flow of YBa2Cu3O7-δ and YBa2Cu3O7-δ/La1-x-yPrxCayMnO3 Bilayers

Suman Kumari et al.

Summary: The superconducting and ferromagnetic properties of YBa2Cu3O7-delta/La1-x-yPrxCayMnO3 bilayers were studied. When the thickness of the superconducting layer is smaller than that of the ferromagnetic layer, the bilayers exhibit a decline in superconductivity, smaller activation energy and upper critical field. Conversely, when the thickness of the superconducting layer is larger, the bilayers show improved superconductivity and higher upper critical field, with abnormal behavior.

Superconducting anisotropy and vortex pinning in CaKFe4As4 and KCa2Fe4As4F2

A. B. Yu et al.

Summary: The study experimentally investigated the vortex pinning in two bilayer FeSCs, CaKFe4As4(Fe1144) and KCa2Fe4As4F2(Fe12442), revealing a higher flux pinning energy in Fe1144. By combining data from other FeSCs, an anti-correlation was found between the pinning energy and superconducting anisotropy in these materials, indicating the importance of interlayer interaction when considering vortex pinning in FeSCs.

Observation of two-dimensional superconductivity in an ultrathin iron-arsenic superconductor

Chi Zhang et al.

Summary: The ultrathin films of the iron-arsenic superconductor KCa2Fe4As4F2 exhibit two-dimensional superconductivity, with lower critical temperature, wider transition width, higher anisotropy, and broader flux liquid region under in-plane magnetic field. Additionally, the samples follow the Tinkham model for angle dependent upper critical field, showing significant dimensionality effects different from cuprate superconductors.
