Deep-learning based damage sensing of carbon fiber/polypropylene composite via addressable conducting network

Myeong-Hyeon Yu et al.

Summary: In this study, damage sensing of CFRP was conducted using an ACN, and a deep learning-based system was developed to improve detection accuracy. Data for deep learning was generated through a resist network model based on Kirchhoff's law, and verified through finite element analysis. By applying a resist network model that considered both delamination and carbon fiber damage, the accuracy of damage sensing was significantly improved, achieving a high rate of about 95% for CFRP damage detection.
