A simple preconcentration method for highly sensitive determination of Pb in bee products by magnetic ionic liquid dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction and electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry

Emiliano F. Fiorentini et al.

Summary: A highly efficient preconcentration method based on dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction technique with a magnetic ionic liquid was developed to determine ultra-trace levels of lead in various honey products. The method allowed for phase separation without centrifugation, reducing analysis time and simplifying the process. High extraction efficiency, sensitivity enhancement, and low detection limit were achieved under optimal conditions.

Alternative solvent systems for extraction and preconcentration of trace elements

Maria N. Oviedo et al.

Summary: Alternative solvents have gained increasing attention for sample preparation, replacing traditional organic solvents and developing simpler, more environmentally friendly methods for trace element determination. Ionic liquids and surfactants have been the most studied solvents, while deep eutectic and switchable-hydrophilicity solvents have been increasingly explored.

An accurate analytical method for the determination of antimony in tea and tap water samples: photochemical vapor generation-atom trapping prior to FAAS measurement

Elif Yazici et al.

Summary: A novel SA-GLS-PVG-T-SQT-AT-FAAS system was developed for the quantification of trace levels of antimony in daphne tea and tap water samples. The method showed a 96-fold increase in detection power compared to conventional FAAS, with a LOD of 28.4 μg/L. Spiking experiments demonstrated a high level of accuracy, with percent recovery results ranging from 90.2% to 108.0%.
