Novel Method for Extracting the Spectrum of a Supramolecular Complex via a Comprehensive Approach Involving Two-Dimensional Correlation Spectroscopy, Genetic Algorithm, and Grid Searching

An-Qi He et al.

Summary: A novel spectral analysis approach is proposed to retrieve the spectrum of a supramolecular complex. The approach involves constructing a two-dimensional asynchronous spectrum and using a genetic algorithm to obtain a heuristic spectrum of the complex. The results suggest that this approach provides a new insight into studying various intermolecular interactions.

Retrieving Spectra of Pure Components from the DOSY-NMR Experiment via a Comprehensive Approach Involving the 2D Asynchronous Spectrum, 2D Quotient Spectrum, and Genetic Algorithm Refinement

Anqi He et al.

Summary: This paper presents a method for analyzing diffusion-ordered spectroscopy (DOSY) experimental data using two-dimensional correlation spectroscopy (2D-COS). The spectra of pure components can be obtained even if their diffusion coefficients are similar through the systematic absence of cross-peaks (SACP) in the 2D asynchronous spectra. However, fluctuations in peak-position and peak-width in NMR spectra can lead to interference peaks. A genetic algorithm (GA) is used to select a suitable subset of spectra and construct a refined 2D asynchronous spectrum to obtain spectra of pure components with reduced interference.

Intensity Enhancement of a Two-Dimensional Asynchronous Spectrum Without Noise Level Fluctuation Escalation Using a One-Dimensional Spectra Sequence Change

Kaili Li et al.

Summary: The intensities of cross-peaks in a two-dimensional asynchronous spectrum can be significantly enhanced by changing the sequence of corresponding one-dimensional spectra, while the noise level remains relatively stable. This approach has been validated through simulations and practical experiments, demonstrating its effectiveness in improving the signal-to-noise ratio of two-dimensional asynchronous spectra.

Probing the difference of crystalline modifications and structural disorder of isotactic polypropylene via high-resolution FTIR spectroscopy

Chengao Qian et al.

Summary: The study focused on the spectral behavior of isotactic polypropylene (iPP) in different crystalline modifications using high-resolution FTIR spectroscopy. It was found that the peak position at -841 cm-1 was significantly different in different crystalline forms, related to the packing modes of 31 helices. Additionally, the degree of structural disorder was also observed to influence the spectral behavior.

Understanding phase transition and vibrational mode coupling in ammonium nitrate using 2D correlation Raman spectroscopy

Sanchita Sil et al.

Summary: Ammonium nitrate, a key component in the chemical industry, is used in fertilizers, explosives, and blasting agents, but its thermal instability poses a threat. This study used mathematical methods to investigate the behavior of ammonium nitrate with temperature changes, providing insights into the dynamics of interactions between species. Analysis of Raman spectroscopy revealed changes in molecular modes and weakening of ionic coupling, offering a new perspective on the stability of ammonium nitrate.
