Influence of temperature and pH on phosphate removal efficiency of different sorbents used in lake restoration

Li Kang et al.

Summary: This study tested three commercially available phosphorus sorbents (LMB, AMZ, and Al) on their capacity to chemically inactivate soluble reactive phosphorus (SRP) under different temperatures and pH values. The results showed that temperature and pH had different effects on the SRP binding behavior of each sorbent, indicating the importance of considering these factors in lake restoration.

Zeolite and pumice-amended mixtures to improve phosphorus removal efficiency of substrate materials from wastewaters

Oguzhan Uzun et al.

Summary: The study analyzed the phosphorus removal performance of different substrate materials in laboratory conditions. The results showed that pumice-amended mixtures (75%P-25%Z) had the highest phosphorus adsorption capacity, indicating that pumice was more effective than zeolite in improving phosphorus removal efficiency of the substrate materials. It was concluded that pumice could be reliably used for nutrient removal from wastewaters.

Synchronization of dehydration and phosphorous immobilization for river sediment by calcified polyferric sulfate pretreatment

Nan Yang et al.

Summary: The study showed that CaPFS had better effects on dewatering and phosphorus immobilization in sediment, reducing water content and the amount of eutrophication pollutants at risking of leaching. CaPFS aids particle surface charge neutralization and sweep flocculation by polymeric iron, improving dehydration efficiency and reducing DIP mobility.
