Theoretical design of Janus-In2STe/InSe lateral heterostructure: A DFT investigation

The results demonstrate the theoretical stability of the Janus-In2STe/InSe LHS, with a direct band gap semiconductor structure and a reasonable work function. Moreover, the LHS exhibits a high optical absorption coefficient in the visible to ultraviolet light range, making it a promising material for optoelectronic devices.

Efficient water purification and desalination using hydrogel and aerogel solar evaporators based on different carbon materials

Facile fabrication of hierarchical textures for substrate-independent and durable superhydrophobic surfaces

Summary: In this study, a simple method to achieve superhydrophobicity on various substrate surfaces is proposed. By using femtosecond laser direct processing, grooves and protrusions are constructed on substrates to form a protective layer, followed by scanning with polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) to achieve superhydrophobicity. This method can achieve robust superhydrophobic surfaces with excellent anti-friction performance on different substrates.

Porous polyvinyl alcohol/biochar hydrogel induced high yield solar steam generation and sustainable desalination

Polymer-Water Interaction Enabled Intelligent Moisture Regulation in Hydrogels
