Summary: The rational design and assembly of Ru(phen)(3)(2+) and Cd32S14(SC6H5)38 resulted in a complex nanocluster (CdS-Ru) with enhanced ECL emission through charge transfer. The CdS-Ru framework facilitated efficient charge transfer, leading to high ECL efficiency and stability. A solid-state ECL sensor based on CdS-Ru showed sensitive and label-free detection of alkaline phosphatase activity with favorable selectivity among interferences in human serum samples.
