Detection of HIV/HCV virus DNA with homogeneous DNA machine-triggered in situ formation of silver nanoclusters

Na Wu et al.

Summary: By combining Exo III-assisted target recycling amplification with rolling circle amplification, a novel silver nanocluster was used as fluorescence probes to achieve ultrasensitive HIV/HCV DNA detection. Furthermore, through the design of padlock probes and utilization of generated ssDNA fragments, an intelligent DNA machine was constructed to distinguish multiple virus DNAs.

A Novel Ratiometric Electrochemical Biosensor Using Only One Signal Tag for Highly Reliable and Ultrasensitive Detection of miRNA-21

Lingqi Kong et al.

Summary: A novel ratiometric electrochemical biosensor with methylene blue (MB) as the only signal tag was developed for highly reliable and ultrasensitive detection of microRNA-21 (miRNA-21). The strategy utilized an intelligent target-induced dual signal amplification (T-DSA) to controllably load and release MB, avoiding false positive responses. With the aid of innovative T-DSA recycle and rolling circle amplification (RCA)-produced functional DNA nanospheres, the detection sensitivity of this biosensor was significantly improved.

Ultrasensitive and specific multi-miRNA detection based on dual signal amplification

Ensheng Xu et al.

Summary: The study developed an ultrasensitive multiple miRNAs detection strategy based on SDA and ACHA reactions, showing a linear relationship in the range of 0.1 fM to 10 fM for miRNA-122 and miRNA21 with low detection limits. The electrochemical sensor can be applied to detect other miRNAs by changing template strands, and the electrode can be regenerated by incubating with specific DNA strands.
