A reaction-based system for the colorimetric detection of glyphosate in real samples

Ziya Aydin et al.

Summary: The study developed two simple colorimetric sensors, BP-Cl and CP-Cl, which showed high sensitivity and selectivity for glyphosate detection through color changes. The sensors were able to monitor glyphosate in water samples using both naked-eye and UV-Vis spectroscopy, demonstrating their potential for practical applications.

Towards electrochemical surface plasmon resonance sensor based on the molecularly imprinted polypyrrole for glyphosate sensing

Domas Balciunas et al.

Summary: This research utilized molecular imprinting technology to create a glyphosate-sensitive layer for an electrochemical surface plasmon resonance (ESPR) sensor. The study revealed the restrictions and challenges encountered during the development of glyphosate ESPR sensor using molecularly imprinted polymer. It was found that glyphosate interfered with the deposition process of the polymer, but the problem was partially overcome by using a self-assembled monolayer before deposition. The dissociation constant and free energy of Gibbs values for the glyphosate-MIPpy interaction were calculated.

A Simple Phase-Sensitive Surface Plasmon Resonance Sensor Based on Simultaneous Polarization Measurement Strategy

Meng-Chi Li et al.

Summary: The Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) phenomenon leads to an abrupt change in the optical phase, making it a sensing parameter. Research shows that phase changes are more sensitive to refractive index changes compared to intensity changes. A novel and effective strategy for measuring SPR phase shift was proposed based on phase-shift interferometry, with successful application in detecting glyphosate molecules.
