Parametric study on the flutter sensitivity of a wide-chord hollow fan blade

Xiaojie Zhang et al.

Summary: In this paper, the aeroelastic stability of hollow fan blades is investigated, and the influence of different parameters on vibration frequency and mode shape is analyzed. The results show that the hollow structure worsens the aeroelastic stability, and the parameters of the hollow section have a significant impact on the minimum aerodynamic damping.

Long-term corrosion behavior of the 7A85 aluminum alloy in an industrial-marine atmospheric environment

Qiyue Zhao et al.

Summary: The atmospheric corrosion behavior and mechanism of 7A85 aluminum alloy exposed to the Qingdao industrial-marine atmospheric environment for five years were studied. The results showed significant deterioration in mechanical properties due to pitting corrosion and intergranular corrosion. Al2CuMg and Al7Cu2Fe intermetallic particles played a key role in initiating corrosion.

A review on ultimate strength of aluminium structural elements and systems for marine applications

Omid Ferdowsi Hosseinabadi et al.

Summary: Aluminium alloys are widely used in the marine industry, particularly in the construction of high-speed vessels. However, the ultimate strength prediction methods developed for steel structures cannot be directly applied to aluminium alloys due to their different material behavior. Factors such as initial imperfections and boundary conditions have a significant impact on the ultimate strength of aluminium ship hull girder elements.
