Quantum relaxation in a system of harmonic oscillators with time-dependent coupling

Summary: Numerical simulations in the context of the de Broglie-Bohm pilot-wave theory show that initial states out of quantum equilibrium usually relax over time to the expected distribution, but the relaxation can be influenced by parameters such as coupling strength. The system tends towards equilibrium, but the speed of relaxation depends on various factors, particularly the interaction strength.

Bouncing Quantum Cosmology

Summary: The goal of the paper is to present the properties of quantum bouncing models, where the quantum bounce arises from the Dirac canonical quantization of a midi-superspace model with a homogeneous and isotropic background and small inhomogeneous perturbations. It is shown that the resulting models are stable and do not approach the Planck energy, and are compatible with present observations. Discussions on physical effects around the bounce, such as baryogenesis and magnetogenesis, as well as the role of dark matter and dark energy are also included.
