The applications of MCDM methods in COVID-19 pandemic: A state of the art review

Alireza Sotoudeh-Anvari

Summary: The COVID-19 pandemic, similar to the economic calamity of World War Two, has caused deep economic crisis and had a ripple effect on all aspects of life. MCDM methods have become increasingly popular in modeling COVID-19 problems. Through reviewing 72 papers, this paper explores the different areas of COVID-19 pandemic where MCDM methods are used. The results indicate that India is the leading country in this field, AHP is the most popular MCDM method, and Applied Soft Computing is the journal with the highest number of articles.

Modified rough VIKOR based design concept evaluation method compatible with objective design and subjective preference factors

Jin Qi et al.

Summary: The study proposes a new DCE method, R-VIKOR(I), in an attempt to better balance objective design and subjective preference factors in the evaluation process. By introducing new integrated ideal solution definition approach, the method aims to provide a more reasonable evaluation result, especially in cases where evaluators have different preferences for design attribute values. The performance of R-VIKOR(I) is validated through three comparative experiments, demonstrating its advantage in modern personalized product development.

Design concept evaluation of smart product-service systems considering sustainability: An integrated method

Wenyan Song et al.

Summary: This paper introduces an integrated method that combines subjective and objective weights to improve the accuracy of evaluation. By integrating the Best Worst Method and Criteria Importance Though Inter-criteria Correlation method, as well as utilizing Rough Set Theory to flexibly deal with decision-making vagueness, a new method for Smart PSS design concept selection is proposed.

A rough-Z-number-based DEMATEL to evaluate the co-creative sustainable value propositions for smart product-service systems

Guo-Niu Zhu et al.

Summary: In the context of smart product-service systems, evaluating co-creative sustainable value propositions becomes a critical issue. This paper proposes a framework integrating rough-Z-number, DEMATEL, and group decision-making strategy for evaluating these co-creative value propositions to ensure objective and reliable results. Experimental results demonstrate the superiority of the proposed approach in handling uncertainty, reliability, and subjectivity during the evaluation process.
