Study of pore-scale coke combustion in porous media using lattice Boltzmann method

Timan Lei et al.

Summary: This study proposes a multiple-relaxation time lattice Boltzmann method to simulate solid coke combustion in porous media at the pore scale. The model considers thermal expansion effects and conjugate heat transfer, providing more accurate combustion dynamics. The simulations validate the superior performance of the developed LB model in reproducing coke combustion and capturing variations in isotherms at the pore scale.
