Role of Interfacial Postreaction during Thermal Treatment: Toward a Better Understanding of the Toughness of PLLA/Reactive Elastomer Blends

Yingding Qu et al.

Summary: This study systematically investigates the significant role of interfacial postreaction during thermal treatment in enhancing toughness of PLLA/reactive elastomer blends. The results show that impact toughness is directly dependent on the time of thermal treatment rather than crystallinity. Additionally, this study provides deeper insight into the underlying toughening mechanism.

Syntheses and properties of tri- and multi-block copolymers consisting of polybutadiene and polylactide segments

Zhengyue Wang et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the synthesis and properties of different poly(lactide)-b-poly(butadiene)-b-poly(lactide) triblock copolymers, and explores their toughening effect on biodegradable poly(l-lactide) film. The results show that the structure and formulation of the copolymers have a significant impact on the mechanical properties of the blended film.
