We have developed a green and efficient method for the synthesis of 4-arylidene-1-(4-phenylselenazol-2-yl)-3-methyl-1H-pyrazole-5(4H)-ones. This method involves the condensation of phenacyl bromide, selenosemicarbazide, ethyl acetoacetate, and aryl aldehyde in acetic acid with sodium acetate as a base.
We report a green and efficient method for the synthesis of 4-arylidene-1-(4-phenylselenazol-2-yl)-3-methyl-1H-pyrazole-5(4H)-ones from the condensation of phenacyl bromide, selenosemicarbazide with ethyl acetoacetate and aryl aldehyde in acetic acid using sodium acetate as a base.
